The Research Ethics Committee (REC) of the Faculty of Social Sciences at LMU Munich supports researchers in applying for and carrying out social science research projects by advising on and assessing the research ethics aspects of the planned project.
Members of the Faculty of Social Sciences at LMU Munich are eligible to apply. The use of the REC's services is voluntary and takes place at the request of the researchers. Applications are treated confidentially.
Please use the application form provided for this purpose and read the notes on submitting applications (see Downloads).
Applications can be submitted at any time. Applications with increased risk, which require a full review, should be submitted 8 weeks before the meeting date. The committee usually meets once a semester.
