- 2014 – 2016: Doctoral Student in the EU-funded INFOCORE project at LMU Munich
- 2015 – 2019: Doctoral Student at the Department of Media and Communication at LMU Munich
- September – October 2017: Visiting Scholar at the Cline Center for Advanced Social Research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
- July 2019: Dr. rer. soc. in communication with summa cum laude, Title: “Strategic communication and its role in conflict news. A computational analysis of the international news coverage on four conflicts”, supervisor: Prof. Romy Fröhlich & Prof. Thomas Hanitzsch.
