Andreas Riedl

Andreas A. Riedl studied Communication Studies at the University of Vienna. From 2018 to 2022 • he worked as a Junior Scientist at the Institute for Comparative Media and Communication Studies at the Austrian Academy of
Sciences in Vienna • and in 2021 • research associate at the Research and Teaching Division for Media Convergence (Prof. Birgit Stark) at the Department of Communication at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. During this time • he was external lecturer at the University of Klagenfurt • Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University • and LMU Munich. Between 2020 and 2023 • he served as spokesperson of the Network for Young Scholars of Journalism Studies (mijofo). From 2018 to 2023 • he did his PhD with a study on journalistic influences on news quality. Since April 2023 • he is research associate at the Department of Media and Communication at LMU Munich. Between his studies and doctorate in 2017-18 • he worked as a media researcher at the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation
