Gender Equality

Welcome to the page of gender equality representatives of the social sciences faculty

Gender Equality Representatives

According to the Bavarian Higher Education Act, the tasks of the women's representatives are to avoid disadvantages for female scientists, female teachers and students. In addition, the women's representatives support the university in promoting equality and eliminating existing inequalities. The women's representatives of the faculties are entitled to vote in various committees, including appointment committees, the faculty council or the faculty board, where they represent the interests of female scientists and students. In addition to committee work, the faculty women's representatives are also responsible for providing advice - not only with regard to equality issues, but also for study and career planning, compatibility of family and science, funding opportunities or sexual discrimination and harassment.
